Hazaras’ appeal for security
THE rampant menace of extremism is slowly and steadily taking over the minds and souls of every individual in society.
Some time back I happen to visit the Capital City Police office in Quetta and noticed that a board on which photographs of police martyrs were placed was in a bad condition.
Pictures, specially of those belonging to the Hazara community, were torn apart.
I asked one of the officials about the cause of the destruction. He told me that last night the photographs were torn apart by some unknown person and it is still under investigation about who could have done such a shameful act.
However, the causes are still unknown. Being a member of the Hazara community, as well as a member of the police department, I was really shocked to see this and thought that the situation has came to such a pass that they could not even bear the photographs of the martyrs being placed in a government building, let alone spare our lives.
On the other hand, the police department, which has to provide security against such extremists, has to face terrorists having such mindset.
Another tragedy recently occurred at the Central Police Office, Quetta. The name plates outside the offices of the Hazara police officers were broken by some unknown person or persons while dirt was splattered on the plates.
In such a situation, I am afraid that the noose is being tightened around our neck and we are left with no option but to live in fear not only because of extremism, but also because of people around us with whom we have everyday business.
Or should I say we have to fear our shadows as well?
This is the situation we are living in. Through these columns, I want to alert the authorities having power to eradicate this menace. I would like them to act quickly.
Otherwise, the situation will get from bad to worse.

Unfortunately, the situation has already turned from bad to worse for the members of Hazara community living in Pakistan. On the other hand, government of Pakistan instead of protecting the lives and properties of Hazara people, has directed it’s departments like NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) & Passport Authority etc, to stop processing cases of people belong to Hazara community.
unfortunately it is not about Balochistan government only, rather government of Pakistan and our corrupt politicians need to be blamed for this lawlessness ,where human life has no value. In a civilized society loss of a single human being in this inhumane manner is enough to bring revolution.
Baloshistan government has failed to protect Hazaras, the most educated and peaceful community in Balochistan.
One nation theory is questioned every day but we still have it in our syllabus.
Still the same old comment, need to address root causes, no writer and no other responsible religious scholars have in their mind to address root causes and settle matter once for all, should have research work in religion to reach truth and reject falsehood as holy prophet rejected idol worshiping.Shedding tears and mourning is not enough.
This is the nature of Islam; it keep seeking enemies.
Shame on you. It has nothing to do with Islam. How will you feel if I say its the nature of Hinduism to rape girl in a bus or burn to ashes more than 2000 people ( including pregnant women) that happened in Gujrat. You have every right to criticize muslims but for god sake do not abuse any religion.
Today those who are doing this they have forgotten that one day they have to face it them selves. Government, Media, politician from A to Z every one is responsible for Genocide of Hazara Nation in Pakistan. But it is a promise that Hazara will never accept what you want. our 70% were killed in Afghanistan till now we are on the earth in face of great nation with lots of peace, love, brotherhood. You can never defeat us by war.. NEVER ! Hazara will be Zindabad for thounsand of Years Inshallah
Nature of Islam is not violent. It is the ignorance of people who do not read Quran and understand real Islam.
