ISLAMABAD: Indian troops violated the Line of Control (LoC) at Bagh area of Pakistani administered Kashmir and crossed over into the Hajipir sector inside Pakistani territory early on Sunday, according to a spokesman of Pakistan's Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), DawnNews reported.

The Indian troops entered Pakistani territory in Hajipir sector and attacked a security checkpost, said the ISPR adding that, retaliatory action by Pakistani forces resulted in the Indian forces to flee back, while leaving their weapons behind.

Two Pakistani soldiers were injured in the Indian attack, one of whom succumbed to his wounds later during treatment.

Cross border shelling began from both sides after the incident, claiming the life of a Pakistani civilian and injuring two others in the Indo-Pak border area of Kashmir.
