This week hope emanates from this column. A young musician by the name of Adeel Rao has come out with a track which is based on the great poet Jaun Elia’s poetry. He has composed Jaun E’s Dau Awazein which is about two different points of view on life. It is not an easy kalam to set to music but Adeel R has done it quite well, imparting it a semi-rock touch. Is it a sign that Pakistani pop scene is coming of age? Can’t tell yet.
