DERA GHAZI KHAN, Jan 5: Two people were injured when a gas cylinder reportedly exploded in a house in Taunsa city police limits, some 90 kilometres from here, on Saturday.

According to the police, the cylinder in domestic use exploded in the house of Younus Khoja in Mochiwala locality of Taunsa.

The explosion was so intense that the roof of the house blew up while two residents Riyaz Shaikh and Riyaz Lashari were injured.

The injured were being treated at the local tehsil headquarters hospital.

Both District Police Officer Chaudhry Salim and Bomb Disposal Squad official Munawar Husain denied involvement of any saboteur in the explosion, saying it was caused by an exploding cylinder.
