The article is quite true. India is like this, I am happy that someone has made a very frank assessment of India’s current situation. I am also happy that we are talking about all this and exploring options. It will definitely help in starting a process where life of Indian Women will become much better.

Its not about changing society, its about protecting yourself against criminals especially when the law enforcement agencies are not doing their job.Even rapes/murders are occurring in USA and Western countries (compare the statistics from google) which is much more progressive and women friendly countries.The poor girl should never have entered a tinted non-authorized bus.Rather she should have called a radio cab or used a different route, where public transport was available.

True reflection of fears of women where indira Gandhi ruled but did little to change attitudes of society and did not enact laws to equality of women.1infanticide as practiced is horrific and reflection on attitude of society towards females.2it is a sad commentary if women cannot freely move in a democratic setup3morality need to be taught from childhood.

I wish there is a credible research in India the role Bollywood is playing in making the people copy the roles from Indian movies involving acts of rape! Rape videos from movies available on Youtube and other sites have great viewership and one can safely assume that many of the viewers are watching these scenes to have fun!
