Thank you, CEC

Published January 6, 2013

THROUGH these columns I would like to express my gratitude to the Chief Election Commissioner who is making all efforts to ensure the forthcoming general election to be free, fair and transparent.

I would, however, like to remind the CEC that the elections like always would remain unfair, one-sided and rigged, unless the gerrymandering of the constituencies, particularly in Karachi and in parts of Sindh, are rectified as early as possible. For the sake of justice to all citizens, I shall earnestly request the commissioner for an immediate attention to the stated anomaly.

Failure could possibly further aggravate the existing unlawful and unjust situation.
