SIALKOT, Jan 6: Two people were killed and seven others, including three women, injured in Begowala, Sambrial, on Sunday in an exchange of fire between two groups.

Police said armed men of the Gondal Group and the Tihaami Group first exchanged words and then fire over some issue in the village which left Rizwan from the Gondal Group and Bashir from the Tihaami Group dead. Seven others were injured in the clash Police shifted the bodies and injured to the Sambrial hospital. Begowala police registered a case with no arrest.

SHORTAGE: The district is witnessing the shortage of flour. Dawn learnt some retailers are allegedly selling the flour at inflated rate -- Rs760 per 20-kilogramme bag.

The District Price Control Committee is helpless to take any action against the hoarders.

Sialkot district administration officials said the non-availability of flour was because of hoarding of flour bags.
