A long march to the fina-fil Interim Government

Sheikh ul-Islam was the highest title bestowed by the great Ottoman Sultans on the selected Qadhi from different cities. Sheikh ul-Islam had the power to confirm new Sultans and their fatwas were binding on the community. If Sheikh ul-Islam’s rulings were followed in the mightiest Ottoman sultanate, who are we, Al-Bakistanis to reject the ruling of the Sheikh ul-Islam.

For me, he is not only Sheikh ul-Islam but Kamil Sheikh who has packed knowledge and experience of the spiritual ailments (amradh-e-batinah) of our country. This mard-e-kamil strives to achieve oneness with the supreme power, like a drop of water that runs into a river and then into the ocean (absolute unity). He has crossed all the four stages (stations) of Tassawuf, Shariat (jurisprudence), Tareeqat (method) Haqeeqat (reality) and Ma’rifat (disclosure, Inkishaf).
He started his journey of Sharia from the Ittefaq Masjid in Model Town, through the jurisprudence of Nawaz Sharif on PTV. He followed Sharia from the days of Zia ul Haq and was instrumental in imposing the Blasphemy law in Pakistan (Note: there are two versions, one for the consumption of Pakistan and the other for the Western hemisphere). For 30 long years he practiced Sharia and had finally found a way (tareeqat) to enter the parliament during the Musharraf regime to support the Legal Framework Order (LFO). After mastering the ascetic to control his nafs trance under the Maple tree (l’Unifolié) of Canada for six years, the final Haqiqat of election reforms dawned upon him and he arrived in Pakistan for the fina-fil Interim Government. Now, through the Ma’rifat of other stakeholders, he wants to purge Pakistan from corruption and pave the way for the Egyptian model.

He came to Pakistan with ex-pat Sadiqs and Amins from Europe, Canada and all over the globe to steer the scattered flock of sheep to Islamabad. He demands that the present government should consult all stakeholders or stick-holders or mallet-holders to form an Interim Government, as if these were not already present in the permanent set up. But I would also suggest that mic-holders, pen-holders, brush-holders (yours truly) and AK-47-holders of banned jihadi militias should also be included in the Interim set up. Shiekh ul-Islam offered himself for the post of Interim Prime Minister; I too would like to offer myself for the ministry of film, science and culture like reputed Sheikh Mamoon ur Rashid.
Sheikh ul-Islam together with the Pir of 90 Sharif wants to convert Islamabad into Tahrir Square. The pir’s spiritual powers were delimited and his mureedins registration made him see beyond the veil of the material world and into the stakeholders’ dreams of a prosperous and free from corruption Pakistan.

The long march in China was a retreat of the Red Army and it covered approximately 6000-8000 miles that took one year. Compared to the Chinese long march, this long march from Lahore (300 kilometers) to Islamabad is equal to Model Town parks’ jogging track. Sheikh ul-Islam, the Pir of 90 Sharif, and all the Sajjada nashins will start jogging from Lahore to Islamabad on GT road in Prados to convert Islamabad into Tahrir Square.

A corruption free Pakistan was the need of all the stakeholders of Pakistan when the Soviet forces were leaving Afghanistan and the corrupt and inefficient democratic government of Junejo were game with the Soviets and USA in Geneva. The spineless democratic government of Junejo allowed the retreat of Soviet forces from Afghanistan and was therefore, duly kicked out by General Zia ul Haq Ghaznavi. When our non-state actors were stranded in Kargil, we once again had a corrupt democratic government, that did not allow the honourable retreat of mujahideens from Kargil. In 2014, we will see the retreat of the American army from Afghanistan. This retreat of true democratic forces to Islamabad will usher a new (read old) chapter in Pakistan’s history.

From Tahrir Square, a new Morsi is going to emerge who will conduct a fair and free election aka the Musharraf model, minus two big parties, who were always national security threats.

Very funny and interesting analysis. Imagine when the so called scholars of Islam have lost their way then who will lead the nation in the right direction. Instead of turning to the greatest and perfect constitution in the universe, our shaikh-UL Islam is making long marches luring the hungry and poor Pakistanis at the cost of donations that people in foreign countries have given to him. The example of the a true democratic, just, successful and perfect system of government has been given to us by the Creator Himself and it was demonstrated in practical form by the Prophet (pbuh) and his companions. Today Pakistan is engulf in sectarian, security, economic, health and all sort o problem and still we are not turning to our creator and His divine system which guarantees the rights of everyone, both Muslims and non Muslims alike and it stops all door of sectarianism as well. I would suggest that without any delay we all should ask for the implementation of true islamic sharia which not only will make our creator happy to fulfill our promise that was made in 1947 but it will also close the door for any terrorism in the name of islam against our people and state machinery just because they are not bringing the sharia. I hope then Taliban have no excuse to fight but will be part of the great society.
I may be just one person and I may be only one to disagree on the mockary the writer has done to the tasawwuf and its concepts, but God be my witness, I am never going to read any article by Mr Nazir. And I am recording my protest with DAWN for this kind of religious redicul and I ask whether DAWN has any kind of code of conduct and professionalism in mass media.

The preamble to Tasawwuf is honest “kirdar”; the writer merely points out convenient flipping of self proclaimed “Alamdar of Islam”. Just watch the You tube video of Tahir ul Qadri to Danish TV on rights of women. He says one thing to people of Pakistan in Urdu and claims another to people speaking English….. such a person does not have character and should not be followed blindly or allowed to misuse religion to its self use. The writer is just trying to show the mirror to this “HONEST” imported broker. BY the way where is his money coming from??

Excellent article. But do you know the SHEIKH is truly holy man. Once on TV he disclosed the date of QIAMAT (judgement day) that even Allah didn’t reveal to his beloved Prophet (PBUH). I think SHEIKH came straight from a Christmas party to deliver his BAYAN (talk). God save us from SHEIKH and MAULANA Diesel.
Will it be a long march, or a long drive? There are some questions re: health & sanitation: With so much being consumed, have any arrangements been made for portable toilets & water to cleanse for both for men and women? Will there be trucks picking up all the trash along the long march and at the place where they intend to camp? Or will the civil authorities be left holding the bag on that one?
There are a lot of confusions, but I don’t think that the media is helping us to resolve them. I will only take my eyes of Qadri if his sources and motivations as laid out by his opponents and this writer are out in the open.

It’s an irony that our so-called intellectuals are speaking for these corrupt/ fake-degree holders politicians. Politically motivated freelancers/ journalist are bashing TQ’s personality, his hidden motives…but no has paid real attention to his genuine demands for a clean parliament…free from all unbaises, dual-nationality holders, fake-degree holders.
If Tahir ul Qadri was genuine his demand would be considered genuine…. but if Tahir ul QAdri lies, then what? The writer is simply showing why we cannot trust another alamdar of Islam who in the past colluded with Zia, Nanna, Mush and now with Zardari…. Who is funding him. Just compare his english interviews to western media and then listen to his Urdu speeches for Pakistani Public consumption…. one thing will bubble up…. HE LIES to protect himself…. and therefore he cannot be trusted

Well written article. You forgot the main culprit. The self promoted 5 star general Aub Khan. He destroyed the judicial system and introduced kagaroo court and BD ( bad democracy ) electrol system designed in Rawalpinidi. Sadly,some consider him as a great man.
