100% right. People love the Turkish soap. Instead of protesting its presence, local producers/directors should compete with higher degree of cheesy productions. Its a soap, not rocket science.

Local industry was protesting telecast of Turkish soap, because of an array of reasons. After those protests, now, almost every channel is telecasting Indian dramas. But there is pin drop silence in our industry,as if there are no differences in culture, display of religious rites, language etc. Its not honest of our media to maintain this criminal silence in case of Indian soap.Turkish soap , at least, has so many commonalities with our Muslim culture, like,Muslim characters, use of same religious terms etc. I would suggest that we should have some more new programs from Bangladesh, Iran, China. Particularly, Iranian movies are of high quality in acting, direction, and script. these will be far better than the Indian soap, which is continuously over stretched to test our patience.
