Qadri long march: 3,000 FC, police personnel to arrive in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Three thousand personnel from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Frontier Constabulary and Punjab police will arrive in Islamabad on Saturday as a part of the security arrangements for the Jan 14 long march to be led by the Tehrik-i-Minhajul Quran (TMQ) chief Tahirul Qadri, DawnNews reported.

The army has also been issued directives to remain on standby in case of an emergency situation.

Sources told DawnNews that officials from the police and district administration were still ‘confused’ with respect to the finalisation of security arrangements for the TMQ long march.

Islamabad’s Red Zone area has already been sealed with the help of 81 containers. Moreover, closed-circuits television cameras have been installed from Faizabad to the Red Zone. The feeds from these cameras would be managed from a control-room established in the offices of the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA).

The sources added that the police would provide foreign diplomats and envoys with security guidelines for their movements.

What waste of resources and people money . People is still think that individual bring the change. No Only system bring the change. This thing going for so long . It is people fault who want walk , instead doing something useful. Leaders are leader good for nothing.

I suggest that all Police , Rangers , FC personal from Punjab , KPK , Sind and Baluchistan should be reassigned in Islamabad and if required the entire Army should be withdrawn from the borders and be deployed in Islamabad so that security can be provided to Quadery , what a joke with the people of Pakistan .

Has anyone noticed, that when the present government is threatened by the peace march, they immobolise thousands of police officers. But the carnage in Karachi continues with daily killings and the government does nothing about it, or sending a strong army presence in Quetta to keep the peace there - shia or sunni - what does is matter, are we all not humans? are we not Pakistani. Shame of this senseless government.

We should support the long march, as govt has failed to provide security to the people of Pakistan and only focusing on corruption. Govt has no right to be in parliament.
