KARACHI, Jan 13: Activists of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) staged a demonstration at the Press Club on Sunday in protest against the arrest of Sikandar Jatoi, father of the prime suspect in the Shahzeb murder case, and demanded his immediate release.

Mr Jatoi was taken in custody a few days ago on the Supreme Court premises.

The protesters claimed that Sindhi lawyers, doctors, engineers and other professionals had been targeted for a along time but the authorities had not taken any action against the culprits.

They claimed that Mr Jatoi was being targeted and victimised because he was a Sindhi industrialist and a social reformist.

Carrying banners and chanting slogans, they were demanding immediate release of Mr Jatoi.
