As you sow, so shall you reap

THIS is apropos of the story in Metro and North, Islamabad, (Jan 9) wherein five children of serving police officials turn out to be the members of the busted gang. It is an eye-opener for those who do not realise that children raised on ill-gotten money will always be a source of curse for the parents in this world and hereafter.

There is no denying the fact that despite hard times if someone remains steadfast to live within means, then certainly he is blessed with the bounties of the Lord sooner or later.

We must remember that any good or bad signs left behind will be a continuous source of blessing or curse. So one might look the other way in this world but hereafter it would be absolutely intolerable for the soul. May Allah guide us to righteousness.

  1. Mr. Nasir,
It’s unfair of you to imply that all Pakistani police officers are dishonest. You could have said what you said without being insensitive to Pakistan’s honest and principled police officers; and don’t tell me that they don’t exist, because they do.
