NOWSHERA, Jan 15: Provincial minister Liaquat Shabab has urged the political leaders to shun their differences and forge unity as the country was passing through a critical phase.

Addressing a public meting at Nowshera Kalan on Tuesday, the minister said the political leaders would have to play their positive role for strengthening democracy as some elements with vested interest were trying to derail the system.

He said Tahirul Qadri’s claim that his long march was for poor and downtrodden turned out to be a gimmick as he delivered his speech in English. —Correspondent
