Hats off to Admiral Bokhari and Additional Prosecutor General for standing up to a very abusive and self-righteous CJ and the SC. I am not sure what CJ’s agenda is but it seems that lately he frequently goes overboard in his zeal to dishonor and disrespect certain people. I often say that before whatever we are in our worldly and temporary positions, we are all human beings and therefore for this reason alone people should be treated with respect and dignity. CJ will have his own accountability one day and I am afraid it will be too late for him to defend himself. He has gone too far in humiliating people at will. Too Bad! It appears that CJ never got over his anger and frustrations when Peoples Party was against his restoration as CJ and now he wants to settle all his scores before he retires. This is not to say that I am a supporter of Peoples Party but the CJ needs to be fair and stop humiliating government employees who are working to make an honest living.

This is true in the case of Pakistan. When you push someone against the wall he will react like that of the Prosecutor General. He has been abused and categorically removed from the office. That’s why he knows how it hurts. Beside, modesty in every action should be the top priority of every official. Unfortunately, in Pakistan when any person or the institution becomes independent or enjoys autonomy, it becomes corrupt e.g. Military, Media. Therefore, its not a good omen for the country that its basic pillars(institutions) indulge in encroachment upon the territories of each other. Given the state of the fragile and infant democratic system, all building blocks should move in right direction so that their every move is meant to stabilize the system.

Admiral Bokhari earned the title and he is entitled to use it as he wants. He is ex Naval Chief he is not asking court to call Ex CNS but Admiral. He deserves respect same like CJ commands respect. NAB Chairman is not higher post than CNS (Chief of Naval Staff). Give respect and get respect should be the norm.

Highly despicable of the NAB chairman to blatently show his contempt towards civilians and civil titles and appelations. Hats off to the chief justice on his patience and dignified composure. The ex-”Admiral” simply made a fool of himself. May I remind Bokhari (he doesnt deserve the honour of being addressed as Mr- translated as Janab in our national language) that he no longer commands the fleet. Sensable people like Mr Colin Powell, ex US secretary of state preffered to be addressed as Mr Powel, not Gen. Powell as he had been eleveated to a higher civilian position. Perhaps Bokhari doent deserve the eleviated status of Chairman NAB. Come out of your contempt and hatred towards civilians ex-admiral!
