JHANG, Jan 19: Three family members were shot dead near Basti Mahmood Shah in Chak Sailanwala in the limits of Garhmaharaja tehsil in Ahmedpur Sial, some 70kms from here, on Saturday.

Zafar Abbas, Nasir Abbas and Ramzan left their house for appearing in a court at Ahmadpur Sial when three unidentified motorcyclists fired at them near Chak Sailanwala. All of them died on the spot.

An old enmity is stated to be the motive behind the incident. The three diseased men were accused of murdering Mehrum Metla of the rivals.

Garhmaharaja police have registered a case.

GUNNED DOWN: A man of Basti Sadiqabad was gunned down at Gharh Mor on Saturday.

Tariq and his father, Abdur Razzaq, were going for shopping when Aamir intercepted them and injured Tariq with a gunshot fire. He died while being taken to a hospital.

Meanwhile, dacoits shot dead two labourers for challenging them in a powerloom factory in Basti Ghoghewal in Jhang City area on Friday night.

Reports said about half a dozen dacoits entered the factory owned by Chaudhry Nadeem, held worker Abdul Hameed hostage, collected cloth worth hundreds of thousands of rupees and fled.

Hameed informed his colleague Usman on telephone who immediately reached the spot. The two colleagues then challenged the fleeing dacoits who fired at them, killing Hameed instantly and injuring Usman seriously who later died in a hospital.

Jhang City police have registered a case against unidentified dacoits.
