KARACHI, Jan 21: Six ships carrying containers and other cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Tuesday.
On Monday, Hyundai Confidence and X-Press Euphrates were berthed at the port while Y M Zenith, Hanjin Durban, TS Jakarta, SFL Sara and Cosco Tianjin sailed out.
Total cargo handled at Karachi Port on Monday amounted to 161,247 tons comprising of 101,383 tons of import and 59,864 tons of exports.
The following ships are expected to arrive at Karachi Port on Tuesday: Port Moody with MOL, FTC Isis with LSFO, Selini with Mogas, Almyros with coal and Kota Genteng and UASC Ramadi with containers.
Port Qasim KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours where three ships carrying containers and chemical were allotted berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal, a PQA press release said.
Meanwhile two more ships scheduled to load/ offload cement and canola seeds also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
On Monday, Lantau Arrow, Maersk Georgia, Harsanadi, Star Eracle and Liberty N occupied berths to load/ offload containers, chemicals, fertiliser and LPG Mix respectively.
Total cargo handled at Port Qasim on Monday amounted to 38,304 tons comprising of 27,741 tons of import and 10,563 tons of exports.
