We need to have strong & morally upright political leadership in Pakistan. Such leadership at present is not seen on the radar. Only such leaders can defend its National Interests. Drones policy have been allowed by the stooge leaders, for self perpetuation of powers, thus surroundering our independence to the US. Pray, we are above petty politics & self interests when voting for the next elections to choose our representatives.

No doubt Pakistani civilians will be at the mercy of CIA. What Pakistanis need is an honest, strong civilain governmnet and serious reforms. Hope people will make right decision and elect somewhat honest leader with capibilities to reform economy and reduce corruption. That will definitley change the attitude of neighbours and the CIA.

Balanced and thought provoking as usual.
Even if Obama and American policies were directed at helping Pakistan , its an uphill task for them because Pakistan by itself can do nothing to help itself………as our leaders are too busy helping themselves.

I think the signal from the two appointments is pretty similar, Obama wants to reduce the boots on the ground with drones in the air.
