ATTOCK, Jan 23: A court here on Wednesday sentenced a man to death for killing a five-year-old girl after kidnapping her in May last year.

Sheraz Kiyani, the additional district and sessions judge, also fined the convict, Masood Hussain, Rs200,000.

He was awarded seven-year rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs50,000 for hiding the body of the victim after strangling her.

Masood was arrested by the Jand police the same month after he kidnapped the girl for ransom. —Correspondent
