LAHORE, Jan 26: Senator Aitzaz Ahsan’s wife Bushra Aitzaz will contest election from NA-124.

The PPP leaders held a public meeting in Daroghawala on Friday and announced that Bushra Aitzaz would be the PPP’s candidate for NA-124. PML-N’s Sheikh Rohail Asghar won the 2008 election (71,000 votes). PPP’s Ayaz Imran could only secure 23,000 votes.

PPP also secured the support of PML-Q leader Haji Imdad Husain and nominated him for party’s provincial assembly candidate in Ms Bushra’s constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, Aitzaz Ahsan said the people of the constituency would vote for Bushra and make her successful in the coming election.

PPP central Punjab president Manzoor Wattoo said the party would form government in the province after winning the election this year. He said the people would take revenge from the Sharif brothers for their “arrogance”.
