LAHORE: PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar has said that the Pakistan People's Party is not serious about the formulation of news provinces in the country, DawnNews reported.

"The talks on Bahawalpur Janoobi Punjab province are a deviation from the resolution approved by the assembly," he said.

The PML-N leader's remarks came a day after the unanimous decision on the proposed name of 'Bahawalpur Janoobi (South) Punjab province' by the Parliamentary commission for formulating new provinces in Punjab.

"While President Zardari is considered an 'expert dealer', this time its governor Punjab who has carried out a deal that involves the people of Bahalwapur," he said.

Chaudhary Nisar further said that the resolution regarding the South Punjab and Bahawalpur provinces was first approved by the PML-N in Punjab Assembly, adding that the 'Parliamentary commission has turned it into BJP'.

Meanwhile, MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar has said that his party was the first one to support the demand of the people of South Punjab in the assembly.
