Nice article. It’s so true when the Emmad Hammed writes “At times, he looks clueless with the red cherry and seems to run out of options fast when the batsmen are dominating”. Overall, Gul is a strong bowler and needs to bowl strategically.

Well analysis of Gul’s past to present. Since first test is in Johannesburg, it will decide the fate of Gul for the rest of the series. Somehow, I have a feeling much younger and less experienced than Gul, Junaid will be the Pace bowler who will be the leader of Pakistan attack. If Gul is not careful and not used his head wisely, after Johannesburg test, Misbah might be forced to drop him.

Yes, I fully agree with the author that this time in South Africa, Umar Gul has to prove himself as a leading fast power of the current Pakistani cricket team. He has to not only take wickets in all formats of the game but also to guide and mentor his junior pace bowlers to prove his great bowling prowess, out-standing cricketing traits and abilities as second to none in the world against the top test cricket team of the world.
