LAHORE, Jan 28: Six-goal strike by Hissam Ali Hyder helped Soneri Bank crush Pakistan Air Force (PAF) 10-4½ in the opening match of the Suzuki Polo Cup here on Monday.

The bankers had reduced the 2½ lead of the losing side on handicap to just ½ goal as Hissam and Saqib banged home with one goal each in the first chukker.

Hissam was on song in the second chukker as well, firing two more, converting 30 and 60 yard penalties to put his team 4-2½ ahead.

The bankers made a stormy start in the third chukker, blazing three more, two from Hissam and the remaining one from Saqib, to take a firm 7-2½ lead, before the PAF started their scoring with back to back goals from Maj. Omer Minhas to reduce the lead to 7-4½.

In the fourth chukker, the bankers continued their attacking game and added three more, two from Hissam and one from Saqib to complete the tally.
