TIMERGARA, Jan 31: The residents of Rabat, Khall and Akhagram areas have complained about the filling of Timer-Akhagram Road drains with mud, stones and bush and demanded of the National Highway Authority (NHA) to take corrective measures.

Haider Bacha, Rehmatullah, Mubarak Khan and Rehmat Jan told reporters here on Thursday that more than one billion rupees had been spent on Timer-Akhagram Road but drains by it were filled with mud, stones and bush.

They accused the people living by the roadside of damaging drains and said rainwater flowed on the road due to damaged drains.

The residents also complained that heavy rocks and bulldozers lied on the road posing a serious threat to the life of motorists.

They demanded of NHA to clear drains on the road and warned that if that didn’t happen without delay, the locals would agitate.
