Meanwhile, a Hindu woman allegedly kidnapped 14 days ago was recovered by the Khipro police in raid in Malhi Colony on Sunday evening.

The police claimed to have arrested Niaz Marri and recovered the 22-year-old married woman in the raid, conducted jointly with the Mehran police personnel, on his house. Marri was among the five persons nominated in the FIR lodged by members of the Bheel community at the Khipro police station.

Relatives of the woman have been holding demonstrations for her recovery almost every day since she was allegedly kidnapped while travelling between Khipro and Qambar in a bus.
