ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 60 per cent of Pakistanis think that it is possible for a good government to come through elections.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “In your opinion, can a good government come through elections or can it only come about through a revolution?”

Responding to this, 60 per cent think it is possible for a good government to come through elections and 28 per cent think a good government can only come about through a revolution.

However, 12 per cent did not give a response. The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2644 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during January 13 to 20, 2013.
