RECENTLY Interior Minister Rehman Malik announced the suspension of mobile services from 12:00pm to 3:00pm in Karachi. The decision was made almost 12 hours before the suspension.  

While the action almost disabled terrorists, the announcement of the decision to suspend the mobile services only 12 hours before seemed strange. One should not underestimate the terrorists’ evil plans that could change their plans, and the government seemed to have given them enough time to do so.

It would be better if the announcement is made 15 minutes before the suspension.
