PESHAWAR, Feb 6: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa information minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain on Wednesday urged the people to forge unity to counter terrorism in the province.

He was speaking at a jirga called in Khattak Nama area over law and order situation.

Mr Hussain told participants that he had always raised voice against criminals, who formed an organisation in his hometown, Pabbi, before launching a special campaign against him in the previous elections.

He added that he successfully foiled nefarious designs of criminals. The minister said kidnapping for ransom was a heinous crime and it could not be tolerated at any cost. He said the government was committed to eradicating crime from the province. —APP
