Exile: a political punishment
From the Newspaper | 11th February, 2013
EXILE, in my opinion, is a safe way to exit and it is the common punishment for those who deserve death penalty for committing crimes on a big scale and for dragging the country to the point of no return (politicians, business tycoons).
It looks like the death penalty is only for those criminals who live a hand-to-mouth existence. Either it should apply to every criminal regardless of his class and level or it should be completely eradicated from the law. I am neither encouraging the curse of death penalty nor flaunting the blessing of exile (where the criminal lives a royal and luxurious life of punishment) but one form for all.

“EXILE, in my opinion, is a safe way to exit and it is the common punishment for those who deserve death penalty for committing crimes on a big scale …….”
I completely and wholeheartedly disagree with this generalized statement and I feel aggrieved with Dawn in publishing such absurdity.
Many a genuine businessmen, politicians and people of religious leaning, in particular belonging to the minorities, have taken temporary abode in the hope that one day the situation in Pakistan will return to normal.
