Over 20 projects launched by the federal government in the field of sports are lying abandoned after they were handed over to the Punjab government under the 18th amendment.

It has been learnt that 21 development schemes initiated by Pakistan Sports Board in 2006 in various districts of Punjab have been abandoned as the provincial government has no funds to complete them.
