THE National Testing Service is one of the best and highly credible institutions for conducting different tests. Recently, the Sindh Education and Literacy Department hired the services of this highly reliable and credible test-conducting institution for the recruitment of HST, JST and PSTs in different schools of Sindh.

The main objective of the government to hand over this project to the NTS was to ensure the merit and transparency in the recruitment of teachers in education department.

But shockingly, for most of the deserving and potential candidates who appeared in these tests conducted by the NTS, their results were not up to their expectations. In many cases, candidates who were expecting high scores have low marks while candidates who were expecting low scores have high marks.

In one case, a deserving candidate with role number 20300826 marked more than 90 questions correct, but it is shocking for him that his result card is showing just 61 marks. This is not only one case of discrepancy. Hundreds of poor and deserving candidates repeatedly contacted NTS authorities for the correction of their results but failed to get justice.

It is a bitter reality that we have lost the credibility of a highly credible institution of recruitment which has zero tolerance for nepotism and corruption.
