Caretaker set-up to be decided within a week: Khursheed Shah

KARACHI: Federal Religious Affairs Minister Khursheed Shah said on Saturday that a decision would be taken on the caretaker set-up within a week’s time, DawnNews reported.
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MNA, who was addressing a gathering in Sukkur, added that his party’s ‘politics of reconciliation’ had driven away dictatorship from the country. He further said that the ‘politics of the 90s’ would no longer be allowed.
Shah, the chief whip for his party, declared that the ‘people’s court’ would make its own decisions in May.
He added that before the general elections, the political scenario in Balochistan would also improve.
Earlier on Friday, Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly and PML-N MNA Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had said that a name for caretaker prime minister had been finalised after intra-party consultations.
Moreover, unsubstantiated reports are doing the rounds here that the Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz, Jamaat-i-Islami (JI), Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaaf (PTI) and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) have agreed on the name of Justice (retd) Nasir Aslam Zahid.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf had said that he would soon consult the leader of opposition in the National Assembly for the selection of the caretaker prime minister.
