Power and grace
This is with reference to the feature Power and grace by Benazir Raz (February 2, 2013). It was a comprehensive article that made me aware of several things about horses that I didn’t know before.
Horse is really a beautiful and graceful animal and is my favourite. I’m keen to learn horse riding when I grow up. I request the Young World team to continue publishing such informative articles.
Last but not the least, the layout of the page was also very attractive.

Creatures that will surprise you
This is with reference to the article Creatures that will surprise you by Emaan Thaver (YW, January 19, 2013).
The writer’s work was commendable. I was surprised to know about such strange creatures that God has created in our universe.

A ten rupee note
This is with reference to the autobiography A ten rupee note by Murtaza Iqbal (YW, February 2, 2013). The autobiography bore some really interesting facts which, apart from adding to our knowledge, made us see the complexities of the human mind.
Clearly the ten rupee note example proves the fact that we see only what our mind wants us to see, while the rest becomes totally invisible, despite it being just in front of our eyes.

Cheating in exams
Education is a treasure — the one who possesses it is blessed, but the one who is deprived of it is doomed with a life full of gloom and dejection.
Education is a jewel that beautifies a personality. We all desire to have a treasure but what’s the use of a treasure that is fake? Will such treasure benefit us?
Same is the case with education; if it is gained with sincerity and honesty, it will benefit us greatly. But if a person manages to pass exams and get degrees through unfair means, such education will be of no use.
It’s a pity that now not only the students but also the invigilation staff is involved in the whole process of cheating during exam. Such staff attempt to solve students’ papers themselves and charge a handsome amount of money for that. When hardworking students don’t get grades equivalent to those who ‘buy’ good grades, they suffer from depression and anxiety!
I, therefore, request the concerned authorities to take serious action against this practice so that we can have honest and hardworking ‘educated’ people in our society, not those who consider education a ‘purchasable’ thing.

Suggestions
I am a regular reader of Young World magazine. I eagerly wait for it every Saturday and spend my entire weekend reading every bit of it. Though the magazine is wonderful, adding and eliminating a few things will further improve its quality and thus enhance readers’ interest.
Quiz section is a great addition to the magazine. But if you make it a little interactive, it will attract more readers’ attention.
What you can do is to give questions in the Quiz column but not the answers in the same issue but in the next issue. Children will try to find out the answers and will wait for the next issue to see if their answers were right or wrong. This will require more hard work on their part and their interest will be enhanced and they will try to read the magazine every week.
Secondly, you can give a blank (colourless) picture every week and ask children to colour it. This will be of great interest for children under 10. Jokes are funny, no doubt but you can replace jokes with comics. Pictorial jokes are much loved by children and adults alike.
I hope you will try to implement my suggestions.
