LAHORE, Feb 16: Competitions supposed to be held on the first day of the 60th National Cycling Championship were delayed due to heavy rains at the cycling velodrome here on Saturday.

Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) secretary Idrees Haider Khawaja said that the first day programme will now be adjusted in the remaining days of the championship.

The final in 1,000m time trial for men’s besides heats in 1,000m individual sprint and 1,000m team sprint included in the men’s event were part of the opening day programme.

Now teams are being shifted to Kasur for road races to be held on Sunday and Monday at the Ganda Singha Wala Border Kasur.

Individual road time trial (40km) and team road time trial (70km) will also be organised on Sunday while 100km road scratch race, 4km individual pursuit and team pursuit will be conducted on Monday.
