PESHAWAR, Feb 19: Pakistan Oil Tankers Owners Association (POTOA) has expressed concern over the levy of additional taxes and threatened to announce a wheel-jam strike across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa if the government doesn’t withdraw its decision in 72 hours.

Speaking at a protest meeting at Taroo Jabba on Tuesday, the POTOA leaders accused the government of forcing the people to dispose of old tankers.

“If the government did not withdraw its decisions then the association will be forced to extend support to protesting transporters in Karachi and also anno-unce strike in KP,” POTOA secretary information Dost Mohammad Khan said while talking to media persons.

He asked the government to resolve the issues otherwise the transporters would suspend supply to Bacha Khan Airport.

He said transporters had decided to start protest from Tuesday (Feb 19) but on the request of PSO it was delayed for 72 hours.
