LAHORE, Feb 20: The central and upper Punjab may have a two-day spell of rain starting on Thursday (today), with northern areas receiving heavy snowfall and rains for the next 48 hours.

According to the meteorological forecasts, new rain-producing system has developed in central and upper parts of the country. The central and upper Punjab will receive mild to medium rains with thunderstorm. The system is expected to die down by Saturday.

The city of Lahore, which had seen its temperature rising to 23.2 degrees Celsius during the day on Wednesday, may see a dip in mercury yet again following showers. The minimum temperature had already been 8.2 degrees Celsius, with humidity hovering at 81 per cent in the morning and 47 per cent in the evening.
