I AM a student of BSc Mechanical Engineering at UET, Lahore. I was awarded inter-merit scholarship on the basis of my exceptional performance in Intermediate, but as soon as laptops were awarded to students by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, my scholarship was abrogated.

My university authorities told me that scholarship funds had been ceased. This is a clear violation of merit. Laptops are awarded to even those who did not receive inter-merit scholarship, then what is my distinction in securing good marks in FSc.

I request the media to raise the issue so that the authorities concerned may take necessary action and look into the grievances of students like me.
