UPPER DIR, Feb 22: Eight passengers were injured in a road accident in Gandigar area of Upper Dir on Friday.

Police said that a vehicle bearing registration number PSB-671, going from Timergra to Brawal, met a fatal accident on Azari Bridge near Gandigar area. They said that the driver lost control over the wheel and the vehicle plunged into a deep ravine.

As a result eight people including four children and a security man were injured. The injured were rushed to a hospital in Bebyawar.

Hospital sources said one of the injured was in critical condition.
