KARACHI, Feb 27: The government has constituted a three-member committee to probe into the death of senior journalist Khushnood A. Shaikh. He was killed after being hit by a car near his home in Gulistan-i-Jauhar on Monday night.

The government formed the committee after information minister Sharjeel Memon gave a statement in the Sindh Assembly on the incident.

The committee comprising DIG East, SSP East and SSP SIU has been asked to submit a report within three days.

Earlier, members of the press gallery staged a token walkout during proceedings of the Sindh Assembly against the incident.
