KARACHI, March 10: On the advice of the prime minister, President Asif Ali Zardari has approved appointment of District and Session Judge Mohammad Ibrahim Khan as the judge of Accountability Court-1, Peshawar. The summary initiated by the Law and Justice Division said the post fell vacant on Dec 31 due to retirement of its incumbent from government service on attaining the age of superannuation.
The chief justice of Peshawar High Court had nominated a panel of three judges for posting one of them against the vacant post.
The minister of law and justice proposed and recommended to the prime minister the appointment of Ibrahim Khan on deputation basis in his own pay and scale for a period of three years or until further orders.—APP
