How quickly some Muslims are ready to believe blasphemy rumors. I hope it isn't just Christians who are attempting to rebuild these neighborhoods. Anyone in the vicinity, not just Christians, could help even if they have little time or money. Bring some food. Clear some of the grounds. Even a kind word from someone from another religion might help. Shame, sympathy and kind words are called for.

To be a Christian in Pakistan is stigma, because they are seen as inhumane. The treatment of minorities particularly Christians in Pakistan is a cruel affliction.

Why has the government not announced compensation for the Christians, in shape of houses, built for them, and some cash help to buy households that they lost in this madness against them?

why blame the world if it brands Pakistan the home of terror? what other image is coming out of it?

Why Dawn labels "a mob of criminals" as "an Islamic mob" - there is nothing Islamic about it. Second, there is no reasons why the Christians have to pay to rebuild their homes - If the governmnet wants to make a lesson out of it then it should force the criminals to pay for it.

Let the churches from around the world come and rebuild this neighborhood. I don't think Pakistani Public should be shouldering this.

Once upon a time we were a nation that believed in decency, we believed in freedom of religion, we respected ourselves and other religions, we were patient and respectful for human life and personal property. We stood side by side to fight for what we believed in. Today that is just a figment of our imaginations?.our hearts and our minds are full of hatred for within and across the religions. The same people (Mullahs) who should be preaching about love and righteousness are preaching an instilling hatred in the people. They are the farthest from the Islam. Our government stands like a bunch of fools too self absorbed in protecting their turf and self interest and not helping the people, not instilling law and order. I blame the government inaction and the arsonists action equally?.the government has failed to protect its citizens, and for that I say SHAME ON ALL OF YOU! I wonder what happened, what changed?.somewhere along the way we lost self respect. We stopped respecting each other, we became too self absorbed in our own beliefs and we stopped looking at ourselves in the mirror and wondering, what if I someone else did something like this to me and my loved ones. We have become blinded!!! We today are opposite to everything our beloved leader Jinnah believed in. To all the people who suffered due to this arson, I am sorry. Please accept our condolences. To the Government, I can only say, it is never too late to right a wrong. Stop protecting yourself interest and start helping the people who believed in you once a long time ago. To the arsonists, I hope you and your leaders burn in hell!
