Avoid Haj fiasco

Published March 13, 2013

AFTER the fiasco of 2010, Hajj 2013 may witness monumental issues unless the current passport issuance delays are resolved. As of now, there is at least three months’ delay for both urgent and regular applications. Although the official reason for this backlog is unknown, unofficially the officials of the Pakistani Consulate in the US mentioned that this was due to “laminate issues”.

It will be helpful if the director general of immigration and passports clarified the cause of the bottleneck.
