QUETTA: Nawab Ghous Bakhsh Barozai on Saturday took oath as the caretaker chief minister of Balochistan, DawnNews reported.

Barozai was administered the oath by Balochistan Governor Zulfiqar Magsi. Outgoing chief minister Aslam Raisani and some members of his cabinet were also present on the occasion.

Barozai belongs to the Sibi area of Balochistan. His father, Nawab Muhammad Khan Barozai, was the first speaker of Balochistan Assembly in 1970, as well as the chief minister of the province in 1970s.

Barozai was also a caretaker provincial minister in the previous caretaker government in Balochistan.
