Blast in Peshawar injures two people

PESHAWAR: An explosion in an arms and ammunition shop in Hasht Nagar area injured two pedestrians on late Wednesday night. The explosion occurred in the shop located near Family Park at around 11 pm.

According to eye witnesses, the first blast was followed by another one moments later. Two citizens were injured while three shops, a rickshaw and two cars were damaged.

According to the bomb disposal squad personnel, explosive material weighing 2.5kg was used in the blast and it had been placed in a ghee canister.

Police and BDS officials collected necessary evidence from the blast site.
