Young man shot dead in Peshawar

PESHAWAR, April 2: Unidentified attackers killed a young man on Daora Road here on Tuesday.

An official of Pando police station said that one Syed Zulqarnain Haider, 24, was riding a motorcycle on Daora Road when he was ambushed. He was taken to Lady Reading Hospital, but did not survive.

A case has been registered against unidentified accused at Pando police station.

Meanwhile, Majlis Wahdat-i-Muslimeen, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has condemned the killing of Mr Haider and asked the government to arrest the attackers at the earliest.

In another case, one Laiq Hussain of Parachinar escaped unhurt when unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on his car near Motorway Bridge.
