KARACHI: A day after the killing of a police SHO, five people including two police officials were killed in different incidents of violence in Karachi on Wednesday, DawnNews reported.

Two police officials of Site-B Police Station, identified as Khalid and Zahid, were killed by gunshots from unidentified miscreants at Paracha Chowk of Karachi’s Shershah neighbourhood.

Late on Tuesday evening, a police inspector, posted as the SHO of the Preedy police station, was shot dead in a Saddar locality. Police said that Inspector Agha Asadullah was travelling in his private car on Dr Daudpta Road when a bullet, probably fired by a sniper, hit him in the head.

Last year over 100 policemen were gunned down in separate acts of targeted killings across the city.

Meanwhile, Hassan and Saeed became victims of targeted killing in Korangi area. Their bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities.

Another unidentified man was killed by gunshots in Surjani Town’s Yousuf Goth.

On the other hand, Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Sindh Police has made arrest of local chieftain of banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Bashir Mehsud public. The suspect was arrested a couple of days ago in connection with terrorist activities.
