LAHORE, May 1: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday called up the newly-crowned King of Speed, Ahmed Jamal, and four other pace bowlers to attend the ICC Champions Trophy-bound national squad’s training camp in Abbottabad.
Ahmed — who hurled a 143-kilometre per hour delivery to clinch Rs1 million on offer during the final at the National Stadium in Karachi — along with Zia-ul-Haq, Ataullah, Sarmad Anwar and Mohammad Aftab have been picked to train alongside the Pakistan squad in the camp which starts from Friday.
The five are selected to gain experience and exposure and improve their skills.—Sports Reporter
