BAGHDAD: Officials say a bomb that went off at a Baghdad restaurant has killed four civilians.

Two police officers say the bomb went off Monday afternoon in the Iraqi capital’s southern Dora neighborhood. They say four customers at the restaurant were killed and 11 people wounded. A doctor in a nearby hospital confirmed the casualty figures.

All officials spoke on condition of anonymity as they were not authorized to release information. The attack came a day after nine people were killed in series of explosions in and around Baghdad, one targeting an Internet cafe.

Businesses and public spaces are favorite targets for militants trying to large numbers of civilian casualties.
