As PTI is a new party you can be forgiven for not taking the first place after another 5yrs when they stand again they will probably win for at least they can sit in oposition as a voice for the people much better then what PPP has got.

Although rigging is a fact in any Pakistani election and infact it did happened in a some areas this time as well.Overall people have elected PML (N) and Imran Khan now should focus on leading as a better opposition with a real voice to keep process of change moving......Mian sahib's tenure in opposition was as bad as Zardari's tenure in govenment. People gave a chance to Mian sahib to prove his metal.

He is right .. I saw many instances shown by the media .. minus that, PTI would have won more seats. The results tell me that the people interested in status quo will use all means and go to any length to achieve and maintain it. However, I am grateful to IK and PTI for creating the wave for a new, prosperous Pakistan!

A fair respond to this historic election would be a congratulation to the winner. Sadly Imran did not do that so far. How immature. He has to learn a lot to be a real leader.

Correct response would not have been accepting the defeat due to courtesy because its not a personal matter and the defeat is the result of cheating. Rigging has been done in a big way in rural areas and where there was room for it in cities. MQM, PPP and PML-N are deeply involved in it.

Malaysia had its elections some few days ago. Here the opposition leader had a huge following from the educated and young new voters.Most were from the urban city areas just like Imran.Expecting change to take place in my country that the government for the past 56 years was ruling.Unfortunately they forgot the rural vote that consists of a large percentage that has no connection to the internet.In your case add the feudal lords and the powerful rich that have a dislike for Imran.Both these opposition leaders underestimated the power of these people.We have too few educated people that can reach into the rural areas.That has to change to bring awareness.

Zamir Having been to few IK functions in the UK, and also having seen his rallies in Pakistan and the turn out to these rallies I must say the results are not at all realistic these elections have been rigged and IK is not a sore loser an honorable man with his heart in the right place. There is no doubt elections are rigged. How was it possible for PTI not to get any seats in Punjab. The power hungry want to win on every cost and people who can be bought to do the wrong thing don't deserve sincere leaders.

It is not Imran Khan who lost, it is Pakistani people who have lost a golden opportunity to free Pakistan of corrupt leaders for good. The corrupt leaders of Pakistan have been sailing in the same boat for very long, protecting each others interests, with offshore family ownerships, laundered money, defaulted loans,personal taxes evaded or personal taxes avoided as business expense. Imran Khan is perseverant and should use his political capital to keep the corrupt on leash, over the next 5 years

I am so disappointed at the results of the elections. People of Pakistan have chosen to remain in the bondage of the same two already tried family parties that have grossly failed to bring any constructive change and relief to the country and its public. Now under twice failed Nawaz they will suffer again. How sad. This time no one else but the people of Pakistan are to be blamed for continuation and more miseries that will be forthcoming under Nawaz's third hopeless stint. Shame on the people of Pakistan.

Atlast he looks mature enough to be our PM.

Imran, Knowing the fact that you were up against PPP & PML-N you should have had a much better strategy then what you currently had, First of all, on Election day, you should have mobilize your PTI members to use their vehicles in a large scale to go to People and bring them to the Polls. I was a young boy in late 80's and this is how we ended our campaign and helped Benazir win by the land slide victory . You have to hustle and bustle in order to have landslide victory and unfortunately PTI leaders banked on the Chairman Imran's popularity. If they had knocked every door in Pakistan these election results would have been completely in PTI's favor. Secondly, there is no need to cry about the loss. The best thing you can do is to create an alliance with the independent NA winners and form a major opposition and improve the lives of Pakistanis.

An Indian observation: If elections were rigged in wide scale, PML-N mostly would not have made it. There may be rigging in places where some one is very strong. Overall elections were conducted fair, without military involvement. Sharif is corrupt, but likely understands economy better than Imran. Good day for Pakistan! Punjabi's voted for punjabi, sindhi voted for sindhi, balochi voted for balochis and pathans voted for Khan, although he is not Pathan but Khan name worked and finally muhajjirs voted for muhajjir. Imran did not talk about massive rigging throughout Pakistan. He talked about NA-250 in Karachi, where in many polling stations, polling could not be held. Even dignatries such as CJ of SHC had to suffer.

I just hope that key political parties can put aside their differences and improve conditions for the common man, woman and child. This is not true. PTI 's Tabdeli Razakars did their part of knocking every 1's door and informing them. The ECP told every political party that they must NOT provide any transportation to public. It is the job of the Government. So, basically PTI played by the rules. Secondly, all those voters U saw on polling stations were there to vote for change (PTI). Delaying tactics along with changing constituencies of people n the obvious one is rigging elections were all present at the same time....Massive rigging has been done... This new Gov outa this elections doesnt represents the wills and sentiments of the People of Pakistan. The gud thing outa this thou is the fact that PTI managed to form a Gov in KPK... Now KPK will become Naya Pakistan and will set an example for others n hopefully by that tym, proper measures wuld be in place for next elections like CCTV and Army in polling booths... ( I believe Pakistan shuld adopt E-Voting machines to eliminate bogus voting once n for all )

Bilal Jamil, that time is long gone when you have knock on doors. IK did rallies and speeches which people followed. Yes, IK is popular but we just did not bank on his popularity, people were shown the way, it I was up to now to lead the way and vote.
