KARACHI, May 16: Landhi Friends and Alamgir Gymkhana qualified for the quarter-finals of the Mehdi Hasan Memorial Inter-club KCCA Inter-club cricket tournament after winning their final group matches here the other day.

Landhi Friends outgunned Airport Gymkhana by 11 runs at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground to finish second in Group ‘D. Spinner Mohammad Salman and Adnan-ur-Rehman each claimed three wickets as Airport Gymkhana, chasing 171, were dismissed for 159 despite Behram Khan scoring 82 with three sixes and as many fours.

Alamgir Gymkhana clinched the second spot in Group ‘C’ by virtue of scoring a narrow eight-run victory over Korangi Al-Fateh CC at the TMC Ground.

Faisal Gymkhana, meanwhile, defeated Qasmi CC by 23 runs at the KCCA Stadium.
