SINGAPORE, May 20: Pakistan International Airlines Corp is seeking 199.44 million US gallons of jet fuel for delivery from July 2013 to June 2015, a tender document showed on Monday.

The volumes are about 6 per cent more on an average per year for the next two years, compared with a previous tender seeking 94.19m US gallons for July 2012 to June 2013, a second document showed.

Its latest tender requires the jet fuel cargoes to be delivered into various airports around the world, with the bulk of the volumes to be delivered into Jeddah. The tender closes on June 17 and is valid until June 30.

“The additional volumes are to act as a cushion in anticipation of new aircraft,” a source familiar with the matter said.—Reuters
